The Gavin & Stacey funnyman sang recent Snow Patrol single Set The Fire To The Third Bar with the band during their gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday.
It’s the song X Factor judge CHERYL COLE performed with Snow Patrol at the same venue for the Children In Need concert two weeks ago.
And that’s where James landed his latest singing gig.
At the afterparty he impressed Snow Patrol frontman GARY LIGHTBODY by auditioning for him at 4am.
I heard James sing at the Concert for CARE charity show in London’s Brixton Academy this month – and he is modest about his voice but can sure hit the high notes.
Last night he was also expected to sing at a launch party he was hosting for PlayStation’s karaoke video game SingStar Take That.
The man band were also due to play at the bash at the Tabernacle nightspot in Notting Hill, West London.
So forgetROBBIE WILLIAMS, James will be wanting the job as the group’s fifth member.
Meanwhile, the recording of TAKE THAT’s latest tour has become the UK’s fastest-selling music DVD. Take That Present: The Circus smashed the record for first-week sales – on the FIRST day of its release. It sold 82,414 copies on Monday, making it the band’s fourth No1 DVD in a row. The UK’s previous fastest-selling music DVD was Take That’s Beautiful World Live.
Keep it up, lads.
