RTE: Irish Exclusive: Watch My Brothers Trailer

It opens in cinemas next month, and RTÉ TEN is giving you the chance to watch the trailer for the new Irish comedy-drama My Brothers.

Directed by Paul Fraser (writer of A Room for Romeo BrassDead Man’s Shoes andSomers Town), written by Will Collins and starring Timmy Creed, Paul Courtney, TJ Griffin, Kate Ashfield and Don Wycherley, My Brothers follows three siblings (Creed, Courtney, Griffin) on a roadtrip quest to replace their dying father’s watch.

The movie was nominated for three IFTAs, including Best Film Script, Editing and Original Score, with the original soundtrack composed by Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody and producer Garret ‘Jacknife’ Lee.

Commenting on My Brothers, director Fraser said: “We set out to make an intimate story of three brothers; we wanted it to feel real, honest and about them in their moment. We’re all so proud that it’s getting a release now after going down so well at its festival screenings.”

Shot entirely in Cork and made in association with Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, RTÉ and Windmill Lane Films, My Brothers is released in cinemas on Friday August 17.

There will also be a Special Event preview screening on Thursday August 16 in the Light House Cinema, Dublin, followed by a Q&A session with director Paul Fraser and writer Will Collins.
