MCMMedia.com: Sydney (September 27th) Review

Snow Patrol evokes massive singalong at the Take 40 Live Lounge.

The songs may have been stripped back but the performance was anything but, as Snow Patrol enthralled the audience at last night’s Take 40 Live Lounge, presented by Debit MasterCard.

Gary, Nathan and John played acoustic versions of songs from their new album, Fallen Empires, opening up with Dark Roman Wine and following on with Open Your Eyes and Run. But the highlight of the night was the massive crowd sing-along to Chasing Cars, and their captivating cover of ACDC’s Shook Me All Night Long.

During the Q and A, lead singer Gary Lightbody revealed that his favourite moment in his career so far was the V Festival in Australia in 2009 playing alongside Elbow, The Killers and Madness.

Check out clips from last night on the Take 40 website and watch the complete show on The Loop on Channel 11, on Saturday October 13 at 11am.
