SNOW Patrol frontman, Gary Lightbody has been gushing with praise about a Londonderry teenager.
Bridie Monds-Watson, a music student in the North West Regional College, is making a splash in music both in the UK and Ireland – and will support Snow Patrol at their sold-out upcoming Belfast concert.
On social media site, twitter, Gary Lightbody, whose parents come from Londonderry, has been raving about SOAK, tweeting: “Thank God for Soak. Who has ever been this good aged 16?”
The Prehen teenager has gone from strength to strength following the release of her second EP ‘Sea Creatures’. She has been confirmed as one of the artists to perform at the prestigious ‘Other Voices’ festival in its birth place of Dingle, Co Kerry alongside acts such as Villagers, Paul Buchanan and The Unthanks. Not only this but SOAK has been rushed off her feet playing gigs all around the place including McHughs and Black Box in Belfast.
